To celebrate 30 years of The River Thames Boat Project we are running a Drastic Plastic competition for schools to create a plastic sculpture. Use any waste plastic you want to create a beautiful, memorable sculpture.
What you need to do:
• Register by completing the online registration form https://eu.jotform.com/build/90573934143964
• Collect plastic waste at school or from home and create one group sculpture per class or Eco Team
• Write a short paragraph to tell us the story of your sculpture – what it is, where your ideas came from and how you worked together to make it
• Submit your story and photos to us by the end of the summer term, by email to info@thamesboatproject.org
• Judging will take place over the summer holidays, and we’ll inform you in September
• The prize for the winning sculpture will be a sleepover on our community boat Thames Venturer
N.B. 1. The winning school will be notified by email. 2. Maximum of one class for the sleepover. 3. The group needs to be accompanied by sufficient adult supervisors. 4. The sleepover is for use of the boat overnight, timings to be confirmed with The River Thames Boat Project but normally to arrive for 5pm. and depart 11am. the following day. 5. Food is not provided so please bring your own 6. The sleepover date can be redeemed at any time subject to availability of the boat and the date needs to be agreed with The River Thames Boat Project
