River Thames Boat Project is looking for a new Chair of Trustees

Could you be the new Chair of the River Thames Boat Project and lead the charity in its exciting next phase of growth?

The River Thames Boat Project is a charity of over 30 years providing access to the Thames River to a wide range of community groups. With two boats, the charity has two programmes delivered by a dedicated group of volunteers; therapeutic activities which include full and half day trips for groups and individuals who have limited access to the river; educational activities with outdoor river learning experiences for primary schools. The boats are based in Kingston and Teddington. We have recently secured a new riverside home for our boats and our work.

The Chair will lead a Board of Trustees and four employees. Key attributes for the role are the ability to devote a half to full day per week to the role, experience in leading and managing others, enthusiasm for the charity’s activities and the benefits of the Thames River, and an ambassadorial role in the surrounding local communities.
