despete_sirensDesmond Jones, a professional artist, passed away in 2013 leaving behind a large collection of wonderful, vibrant paintings and drawings. He trained at Twickenham Art School, which changed its name to Richmond Upon Thames College.  The family has decided to organise a special auction in Richmond on Friday 9th June for a number of local charities, more details to follow on the website as they evolve.  Click HERE and select the NEWS section.

Desmond was very fond of sailing and his daughter Elaine was a canoeist, who helped to teach young people in Richmond when she was an assistant scout leader in Richmond, which made her think of the River Thames Boat Project.  She suggested the painting “Sirens” with its water theme for our charity.  The River Thames Boat Project will receive 50% of the funds raised from its sale at the auction.
