despete_sirensRTBP will receive 50% of the auction sale for “Sirens” by Desmond Jones on Friday 9th June.

The late Desmond Jones, a professional artist, produced a large collection of wonderful, vibrant paintings and drawings. He trained at Twickenham Art School, (now Richmond Upon Thames College).  The family is holding this auction in aid of local charities.  Elaine suggested the painting “Sirens” with its water theme for the RTBP.     Click HERE and select the NEWS section.

16th July – Open Day and Kingston Dragon Boats
buntingCome on board our boats in Kingston at the Barge Dock, near Canbury Gardens.  See our facilities and talk to crew members and educational volunteers.  We will be serving refreshments and homemade cakes both indoors and on deck.

On the same day, the 16th June, we are the chosen charity for the Rotary Club of Kingston’s Kingston Dragon Boat Race.  Market stalls, bouncy castles and sideshows from 9.30am onwards along the riverside.

Past Events

19th February 2017– Hampton Court Half Marathon

Crew member, Mike Mendelson’s ran the Hampton Court Half Marathon on 19th February.   Other willing volunteers manned the official Water Station based at the Dockside on the day!

THANK YOU MIKE for raising £600+ gift aid = £683 and thank you water volunteers !!

24th February 2017- Ealing SEND

Ealing Town Hall, 24th February, 10am-6pm.  Find us HERE at this inclusive event arranged by the Ealing Parent Carer Forum for families that include children and young people with disabilities, children and young people with special educational needs and/ or disabilities and their families.  The fair is divided into 2 main parts: Exhibition and Workshops.  There is a full programme of Preparing for Adulthood workshops and activities taking place throughout the day.

27th February 2017- Teachers’ Twilight Open Afternoon

10th March 2017 – Kew Rotary Quiz Night

A great team of six RTBP crew and partners attended this event and came 7th in the Quiz, (only a few points difference between 7th and 1st!).  We were chosen as one of the three beneficiary charities by Kew Rotary and we were awarded £580.   Thank you Kew Rotary.  Date for your diary: next year is 9/3/18.
