Finding Our Boats

Embark at Tamesis Club – This is the starting point for most of our cruises.

However, please check your details carefully as some cruises will be from our Kingston upon Thames mooring.
Education days will mostly be at Teddington Lock but please check your booking details.

Getting to Tamesis Club

Cruises on Thames Discoverer will usually start from Tamesis Club, which is on the river in Teddington, has free parking and easy access to the river.

Directions by road

The postcode for Tamesis Club is TW11 9QY, Trowlock Way, Teddington. Trowlock Way is a turning off Broom Road (Lower Teddington Road if you are coming from Kingston/Hampton Wick). Follow Trowlock Way until Teddington School is on your left and then turn right into the car park signposted Tamesis Club. Drive through this car park to the far end. On the right, go through white metal gates into a second car park, which is the Tamesis Club car park. Free parking is available here. Please park against the hedge on the right-hand side or in front of the large building in front of you as you enter the car park.

Getting to Kingston upon Thames

Kingston cruises on Thames Discoverer or Thames Venturer will start from our dock near Kingston Railway Bridge, Downhall Road, Kingston, KT1 1PS.

Directions by road

On the Kingston one-way system, take the turning to Seven Kings car park. Turn left at the lights. Turn left again after the entrance to the car park, turn right onto Down Hall Road on the corner of the Hilton by Doubletree.  The Barge Dock is situated at the entrance to Canbury Gardens on the corner of Down Hall Road and Thames Side, next to the railway bridge that crosses the river. The boat is moored behind a high fence surrounding the Dock.

Thames Venturer will usually be at Teddington Lock for School on the River because of the foreshore activities. This may be subject to alteration. Please check your booking details. Postcodes for sat nav: Teddington side of the lock TW11 9NN

We deliver educational activities from the pier house at Hermitage Community Moorings and the adjacent garden.
