Eco Venturers

Eco Venturers is a full-day workshop addressing present-day environmental issues and is for KS1 and KS2 pupils.

Eco Venturers is a full-day workshop covering current environmental issues. It is suitable for KS1 or KS2 pupils and adapted accordingly. It can run at either Teddington or Hermitage Community Moorings. Enjoyable group activities help them to develop decision-making skills. The particular focus of the day is to recognise what positive steps and choices they can make which will enable them to live more sustainably.

The aim of this workshop is to help children understand:

  • the historical reasons for climate change:
  • the difference between renewable and non-renewable sources of energy; and
  • the impact of human activity on the planet.

They also learn about

  • the importance of co-existing with other life forms and the need to protect them,
  • how to use water responsibly.
