River Blessing

Thames Discoverer took part in the annual River Blessing in TeddingtonRTBP has been very happy to take part in this special service on the river in Teddington for the last few years.  This year it was a little different as the service was a much smaller group and was filmed on Friday 12th July to be posted on the church website on Sunday 14th July. The Rev Joe Moffatt, who is also Lifeboat Chaplain for the RNLI, led the service and the procession down to the river.  Jane Newman was part of the procession – flying the flag for RTBP.  Also in the procession was Chris, our friendly Commodore from Tamesis Club.  Thames Discoverer was waiting on the water to join in the celebrations – Gunnar, Ian and Sophie were onboard along with 2 RNLI lifeboat crew.  We enjoyed the RTBP and RNLI collaboration! The sun came out and it was wonderful to see Thames Discoverer back in action on the river, joining in the celebrations.  Thank you to the Rev Joe and to Katherine from St Mary with St Alban Church for inviting us to be part of this special service on the river.  We look forward to more time on the river soon!
