Thank you to The White Hart in Hampton Wick for hosting our Christmas supper on Friday 6th December!  We were a happy group of 40 getting together after a busy year of activities on our boats on the river. We enjoyed excellent food and the chance to share laughter and memories of the cruises, education days and fundraising that took place during 2019 – the 30th year for the charity.

Our special days on the river would not be possible without our amazing volunteers and supporters.  We took the opportunity to say thank you to three Trustees who have stood down after many dedicated years:  Keith, Byron and Peter L who received a print of Thames Venturer and Thames Discoverer.  Thank you John Frye for the fantastic photo.

Special awards were made by Peter, our skipper, to:

Ivor – the ‘Brush of Brilliance’ for  his hard work on Thames Venturer while she was in dry dock for painting and repairs; Linda – ‘Bloomin’ Marvellous’ for all round amazing support; Dave – the ‘Cup of Captains’ for being such a dedicated volunteer skipper; Tony – ‘Bloomin Marvellous’ for all round amazing support.  Thank you to everyone.

We were also very happy on the evening to receive a fantastic donation from Teddington & the Hamptons Rotary Club. John Frye presented the cheque for £500 which was generated by the Treasure Hunt that the Rotary Club run annually in Teddington.
