Thank you to everyone for attending the River Thames Boat Project 2019 AGM on Monday evening 4th November at The Pavilion Club in East Molesey. It was a great chance to get Friends, supporters, members and volunteers together to review the financial year 2018-19, provide an update on the current year and look ahead to the future.
In 2018-19, we reached 3,511 beneficiaries, with 91 Accessing the Thames cruises and 76 education days. Our new boat Thames Discoverer has been very well received with our clients and has been hard at work on the river since her naming ceremony in May 2018.
A great deal has happened over the 30 years history of the River Thames Boat Project and our mission to make the Thames accessible remains as strong as ever.
We took the opportunity to thank some long and loyal trustees who are standing down after combined service of 35 years – thank you Keith, Byron and Peter, your dedication to the charity has been immense.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the charity over the last 30 years. It would not have been possible without such dedication and enthusiasm from so many. We look forward to the next 30 years of the River Thames Boat Project and welcoming groups on board Thames Venturer and Thames Discoverer.
We are very grateful to The Pavilion Club for hosting the event. Providing us with their excellent venue for the evening really makes a difference.
We have created a short film to celebrate 30 years of the charity which you can see here. Thank you to Amena Hasan for creating this film for us.
